ASAB is a podcast which brings on trans and non-binary guests in science (which could be you if you’re an undergrad or grad student, a technician, professor, educator, PI, corporate researcher, science journalist, photographer, or even someone who is big into breeding arthropods as pets) to talk about their interests, research, and/or science fiction.

Our primary mission is to feature as many scientists whose relationship to gender is not that of the colonial male/female cis binary (so people who are trans and non-binary but also intersex and/or two-spirit, if they want to come on – aiming for maximal inclusivity without collapsing nuance) as possible.

Guests have control over how they’re credited (name and pronouns), and are given final veto power over content in the episode. Charles will send a copy of the episode before it’s published, so guests can indicate anything else that needs to be removed – listen, we know that being trans online can be harrowing.
